First Annual Conference on Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems November 6-8, 1991 Tucson, Arizona Dear Colleague, The proceedings of the First Annual Conference on Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems will be published as part of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific Conference Series. So the published volume remains a manageable size it will be necessary to enforce strict page limits: invited papers, 10 pages; contributed oral talks, 5 pages; and poster papers, 3 pages. All papers should be submitted electronically in LaTeX using the template and style files provided by us (see the attached information pages). Two hard copies of the LaTeX manuscript, one of camera-ready quality, along with copies of the illustrations at production size are also required. If electronic submission or LaTeX template use is a problem for you, please contact one of the editors. The text of the paper in LaTeX should be sent to us electronically at softconf@noao.edu. Two hard copies, one of which should be camera-ready, and copies of the illustrations at production size should be sent to us by regular mail (Software Conference, National Optical Astronomy Observatories, P.O. Box 26732, Tucson, AZ 85726). At least six keywords appropriate for your paper should be included with the electronic copy and/or included on a *separate page* (not part of the camera-ready copy) with the mailed copies. The deadline for receiving both the electronic copy and the hard copies is *December 6, 1991*. If we receive manuscripts after that date we can not guarantee that they will be included in the published proceedings. Electronic markup (LaTeX) and submission instructions are available by anonymous ftp from the node "iraf.noao.edu" in the directory iraf/conf/pasp/. A README file contains information about the contents of the directory and directions for preparing your paper. If you have any questions about the Proceedings please send electronic mail to softconf@noao.edu or 5355::softconf, or contact one of the editors. Sincerely, The Editors Diana Worral Chris Biemesderfer Jeannette Barnes (SAO) (NOAO) (NOAO)
