OVERVIEW OF PAPER SUBMISSION:

  __ *****DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 28, 1994*****
  __ Download the LaTeX template and style files from STScI.
  __ Follow the intructions for preparing your paper.
  __ Prepare figures as EPS file or hardcopy at production size.
  __ Deposit LaTeX file and EPS figures, if any, on ftp site at ST ScI,
     following the suggested naming convention.  Or email them to 
     adass4_editors@stsci.edu.
  __ Mail a paper copy to ST ScI.


COMPLETE CHECKLIST FOR PAPER SUBMISSION:

  __ Get the LaTeX template and style files from ST ScI:
	   % ftp ra.stsci.edu (130.167.1.101)
	ftp> [log in as anonymous]
	ftp> [use your email address as the password]
	ftp> cd pub/adass/proceedings/
        ftp> mget *
	ftp> [exit]

  __ Prepare your paper.  Follow the instructions in the README file
     for printing the User's Guide, contained in the LaTeX file
     adassman.tex.

  __ Check your paper carefully.

  __ Be sure to include at least 6 keywords in your LaTeX file that are
     appropriate for your manuscript.

  __ Prepare any figures or illustrations at production size, if they have
     not been provided in EPS format.

  __ Check to be sure you have included an abstract.

  __ Remember that the page limit is 10 pages for invited talks and 4 pages
     for all others.

  __ Deposit the LaTeX copy of your manuscript along with any computer
     graphics in EPS format in the directory pub/adass/papers on the node
     ra.stsci.edu.  Identify the LaTeX copy by using the last name plus
     the first name initial of the first author, e.g., hanischr.tex.  Any
     EPS files should be identified in a similar way, e.g., hanischr1.eps,
     hanischr2.eps.  PLEASE make sure that the references to the EPS files 
     in your manuscript use these SAME names for the figure files.  Authors 
     with multiple papers will need to indicate this as well, e.g., 
     crabtreed1.tex, crabtreed1_1.eps.  Please send an email message to 
     adass4_editors@stsci.edu notifying us that you have done so, listing 
     the file names.  Alternatively, files can be sent by email to 
     adass4_editors@stsci.edu.

     Our ftp service requires some explanation.  The NASA Science
     Internet (NSI), of which ST ScI is a part, frowns on
     world-writeable directories under anonymous ftp accounts.  Such
     directories have been used as bulletin boards for the exchange of
     files which constitute an improper use of the NSI, under its charter.
     To reduce this problem, the directory into which you have been 
     directed to place your files is writeable, but not readable to you.
     That is, you will not be able to list the contents of the directory.
     If you have any doubt about whether your files were written correctly,
     please send an email message to adass4_editors@stsci.edu requesting
     confirmation that your files have been received.

  __ Mail 1 copy of your manuscript and any illustrations at production size 
     to Harry Payne, ST ScI, 3700 San Martin Drive, Baltimore MD 21218,
     USA.
