EGODATA Contents Version 1.17 2/2/00 Manifest In this release of the EGODATA, you should find the following files: README.TXT archpipe contents.hlp detector.fits ds.correction.fits ds_alc_mask.pl ds_alc_vig.fits ds_deadspot.pl ds_distort.fits ds_ea_quad0.fits ds_ea_quad1.fits ds_ea_quad2.fits ds_lex_mask.pl ds_lex_vig.fits ds_lim.fits ds_undistort.fits hotspot.fits img_tabindex install.hlp lw.correction.fits lw.off.fits lw_collresp.fits lw_ea.fits lw_lim.fits lw_primary_mask.pl lw_psf.fits lw_secondary_mask.pl mkdataproducts1.cl mkdataproducts2.cl mkdataproducts3.cl mkdataproducts4.cl mw.correction.fits mw.off.fits mw_collresp.fits mw_ea.fits mw_lim.fits mw_primary_mask.pl mw_psf.fits mw_secondary_mask.pl pipeline quaternion.fits reference sca.correction.fits sca_alc_mask.pl sca_alc_vig.fits sca_distort.fits sca_ea_quad0.fits sca_ea_quad1.fits sca_ea_quad2.fits sca_ea_quad3.fits sca_lex_mask.pl sca_lex_vig.fits sca_lim.fits sca_undistort.fits scb.correction.fits scb_alc_mask.pl scb_alc_vig.fits scb_distort.fits scb_ea_quad0.fits scb_ea_quad1.fits scb_ea_quad2.fits scb_ea_quad3.fits scb_lex_mask.pl scb_lex_vig.fits scb_lim.fits scb_undistort.fits scc.correction.fits scc_dag_mask.pl scc_dag_vig.fits scc_distort.fits scc_ea_quad0.fits scc_ea_quad1.fits scc_ea_quad2.fits scc_ea_quad3.fits scc_lim.fits scc_tin_mask.pl scc_tin_vig.fits scc_undistort.fits spec_tabindex src_tabindex sw.correction.fits sw.off.fits sw_ea.fits sw_lim.fits sw_primary_mask.pl sw_psf.fits sw_secondary_mask.pl tifdeadtime.fits unfits.cl All files with the .fits suffix are standard FITS format files. The *.pl files are pixel lists. All other files are simple ASCII text files. File Types Files with "sw", "mw", and "lw" prefixes describe the characteristics of the EUVE short, medium, and long wavelength spectrometer channels. Files with "ds", "sca", "scb", and "scc" prefixes describe the Deep Survey, Scanner A, Scanner B, and Scanner C imaging detectors. Files with "alc", "lex", "tin", "dag" contain information that is filter specific, where the filter types are Aluminum/Carbon, Lexan, Tin, and Dagwood, respectively. The "*.correction.fits" files are calibration IMAGES that perform remapping. The "*_distort.fits" and "*_undistort.fits files are calibration IMAGES that correct for instrument distortions. The "*.off.fits" files are calibration IMAGES that correct for off-boresight sources. The "*_ea.fits" files contain the effective areas for each spectrometer. The "*_ea_quadN.fits" files contain the effective areas for the Nth "quadrant" of the ds and scanning detectors. The quadrants are numbered like so: DS SCANNER 2 1 | 3 --- ----- 1 0 | 2 --- 0 The "_lim.fits" files contain the nominal filter limits. The "_psf.fits" files contain the Point Spread Functions for each spectrometer. The "_collresp.fits" files contain the collimator response functions. The "detector.fits" file contains other information about the detectors. "hotspot.fits" contains various hotspots that have been noticed on the spectrometers. The "quaternion.fits" file contains orientation information about the detectors. The "mkdataproducts.cl", "pipeline", and "reference" files describe the nominal processing. The "tifdeadtime.fits" file contains additional calibration information. The ds_deadspot.pl file contains a pixel list that describes the Deep Survey "deadspot". Vignetting and filter mask information are contained in the files: [ds|sca|scb|scc].[alc|lex|tin|dag]_mask.pl filter mask [ds|sca|scb|scc].[alc|lex|tin|dag]_vig vignetting information Changes since last major EGODATA release: Changed files: ------------- detector.fits The values in the source_region column for the scanning detectors have been changed from zero to INDEF, to reflect the fact that the scanners have no preferred (i.e., primary) quadrant. ds_lim.fits A new monitor, det7q1sf, has been added. mkdataproducts.cl This has been split into four shorter scripts to overcome an apparent limitation on parser buffer size in IRAF2.11. pipeline (contains scripts for the CEP task) The Pulse Height scripts now divide the pulse height by 2. The values of the TELESCOP, INSTRUME, and DETNAM cards in the scripts have changed. New scripts (and their supporting modules) have been added: Unsorted Wavelength Pulse Height Image Unsorted Remapped Pulse Height Image Unsorted Wide Remapped Pulse Height Image reference (used by CEP) The ra and dec values have been changed to doubles. New files --------- archpipe Contains special CEP pipeline processing scripts for use with data in the EUVE archive format. img_tabindex Table index file for use with CEP on data from imaging detectors in the EUVE archive format. mkdataproducts1.cl mkdataproducts2.cl mkdataproducts3.cl mkdataproducts4.cl These four, shorter scripts replace the single mkdataproducts.cl script with the same functionality. lw_primary_mask.pl lw_secondary_mask.pl mw_primary_mask.pl mw_secondary_mask.pl sw_primary_mask.pl sw_secondary_mask.pl Spatial masks for the long, medium, and short wavelength spectrometer detectors, covering the primary and secondary regions. spec_tabindex Table index file for use with CEP on data from spectrometer detectors in the EUVE archive format. src_tabindex Table index file for use with CEP on source centered data from imaging detectors in the EUVE archive format.
