GUIDARES is a user-friendly program for the IBM PC that faciliates
data retrieval from the HST Guide Star Catalog. It can scan the
catalog for objects within a user-specified region, plot a sky map
of the region in projected celestial coordinates, and produce an
ASCII table of the region. It supports rectangular and circular
regions specified by coordinates in the equatorial, ecliptic, 
galactic or supergalactic systems.

The hardware requirements for GUIDARES are an IBM PC or compatible
with a CD-ROM drive, and CGA, EGA or VGA graphics. Of course, you
also need the Guide Star Catalog CD-ROMs (version 1.0 or 1.1).

The whole package is contained in one file, G2.EXE. When you 
need documentation, G2.EXE can produce it - run it and it 
will tell you how.

GUIDARES 2 is a Shareware product - consult the documentation 
for details.
