There will be an IDL User's meeting for astronomers on Monday, 2
November, 1992, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in Boston during the 2nd Annual
Astronomy Data Analysis and Software Systems (ADASS) meeting. (Contact
softconf@cfa.harvard.edu for info on this meeting.) David Stern of RSI
will speak on recent developments and future plans for IDL. The
remainder of the meeting will consist of short 5-10 minute informal
talks on applications of IDL in astronomy. Please let me know if you
would like to volunteer to give a talk. Possible topics include
astronomy software or data reduction packages in IDL, experiences with
DOS-IDL or Convex-IDL, real-time data acquisition with IDL, IDL
widgets, or a comparison of IDL and PV-WAVE.
