IRIX/IRAF Installation Guide

Abstract

This document describes how to install or update IRAF on an SGI IRIX 6.2 workstation or server, or update and existing installation. Both stand-alone and networked configurations are described. Only those issues which one must understand to install IRIX/IRAF are discussed here; a companion document, the Unix IRAF Site Manager's Guide, deals with other issues such as interfacing new devices, configuring the IRAF networking system, adding layered software, and so on.
