Miscellaneous Useful Tasks

A C language binding for IMFORT programs is available from the /iraf/misc directory of the archive as cbind.c. This file provides a set of wrapper routines that allow C programs to call IMFORT routies, see the readme file for details.

Image display and graphics overlay from C and Fortran programs is possible using the Client Display Library available from the /iraf/x11iraf directory of our archive.

The new import and export tasks in V2.11 can be used to convert to and from IRAF images. The export task can convert images directly to EPS, combine colors and create mosaics.
