On systems with a 2-button mouse, using Shift-Insert from the keyboard will insert the clipboard text as an alternative to middle mouse button.

You can use the Shift-PG-Up and Shift-PG-Down keys as an alternative to the scrollbar in XGterm.

The XGterm -G or % command-line flags accept a geometry argument you can use to position and size the Gterm graphics window. For example, either of


% xgterm -G 600x300+0+0
% xgterm %600x300+0+0


will create a 600x300 graphics window places in the upper left corner of the display.
