Screenshot of the XImtool-Alt GUI showing all the exposed panel options, compass indicator, and ruler markers. The cut-graphics plots are closed by default to allow more screen area for the image. An external process accesses the image being displayed to provide real-time WCS, image pixel, and bad pixel mask readouts. Additional plug-ins are planned to further extend the functionality of XImtool (e.g. catalog access overlays, animation, etc).
The coords readout tab of the new integrated control panel. The options panel folds away to create a smaller window, but when opened the user can select from a number of coordinate systems to be displayed on the main image display or control panel.
Image header browser window. The entire image header can be displayed or the user can choose to see just the WCS information for the image. Display is updated as the user moves through the display frames.
Pixel table window. The table prints a table of pixel values around the current cursor position. Table sizes range from 3x3 to 9x9.
The new Tile options control panel. XImtool now supports a full 16 display frames. Any or all frames may be tiled in the display in a variety of geometries.
